Coconut Goodness for All — great hunger tamer

This is a really good deal —

Another great Tuesday Deal on Nutiva today — we love Coconut Manna.  Its nutritional profile is very close to Coconut Oil, but to us it’s much more palatable when eaten on its own.  It’s like eating peanut butter with a spoon.  It has a coarser consistency and a mild sweetness that comes from the coconut meat (ie fiber).  Basically it’s a coconut spread, and we’ll be posting a recipe or two just a little later today, here on this page.

Our main use of Manna thus far has been as a pick-me-up if we’re peckish or just restless in the mouth.  A teaspoon/tablespoon of Manna really keeps us full for an hour or two, and is a great little snack.

Here’s the blurb we copied from Nutiva:

Organic Coconut Manna

  • Non-GMO / Zero Trans Fats
  • Melts in your Mouth
  • No refrigeration required
  • Spreads easily at temperatures above 72 degrees
  • Will delight those looking for coconut butter and coconut cream
