Ani Phyo’s 15-Day Kick-Ass Plan Book Review: Intro 2

“… I’ve constructed here a simple plan that is filled with fresh, delicious, whole foods, requires little prep time each day, and will have your body humming with energy before you know it.”

She goes o to say this plan is for you if you want to “blast off the fat, attain great health, look younger and feel better, increase endurance, build lean muscle and enhance immunity.”  No quick fix here, she says (though 15 days sounds pretty quick to me).  Foods “powered by sun and soil …  are the foods that blast our energy levels upward and blow away our fat and health issues.”

She uses various automotive metaphors (“clean out your engine” for detox, “rebuild your chassis from the inside out” for melting off fat), and then moves into mixed metaphors: this will be done by “filling your tank with special groups of fat-fightng foods that I call Rocket Fuel, so named because they give you a blast of clean energy while they also blast off the pounds.”   These are probiotics, prebiotics, medium chain fatty acids, and thermogenics.
