Rumi’s hour

There’s this quote from Rumi which says that if you happen to wake up at 3am, don’t go back to sleep – there are secrets in the night, he says, listen to the breeze.

So I just thought, what a great time to work on a blog or a website, if one finds oneself up and alert (as I do if I’d had wine for dinner) at, say, 3:24 in the a-m.

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.

Don’t go back to sleep.

You must ask for what you really want.

Don’t go back to sleep.

People are going back and forth across the doorsill

where the two worlds touch.

The door is round and open.

Don’t go back to sleep.
